January 2012 President's Corner

Hello and Happy New Year

It’s hard to believe the New Year is here. I wish you all the best for the coming year and hope to see you at all the LCAPN meetings. Tuesday January 17th will be our next meeting at Rue de Jean. Usually we have every meeting on the second Tuesday of the month so this meeting on the third Tuesday of the month is the exception . The topic is overactive bladder and if you are interested in attending RSVP ASAP to asdonato@aol.com.

Renewal of memberships went well this fall with paypal being implemented. Our membership is growing in numbers and we are approximately 80 strong at this time.

As in other years we want to gather information on salaries and other topics for you. Please fill out the 2011/2012 Salary Survey form before March 1st.

The board is continuing to work on obtaining CEU’s for its members and we hope to offer you a half-day program for CEU’s this fall with pharmacology update. Stay tuned.

October 2011 President's Corner

Hello, and let me introduce the LCAPN board to you:

We hope you will send us your ideas for future meetings or any physician or health care group which would like to sponsor one of our meetings. We will have 6 meetings this year and both nurse practitioner and nurse practitioner students are welcome at the meetings as long as you have paid the membership dues. This $35 can be done online or via email. Our next meeting is on November 8th at magnolia’s on Lipid management and rsvp is to ASDONATO@AOL.COM

In January we will have our salary survey for 2011 and we hope to have at least one meeting that will give you CEU’s. Enjoy this fall and Happy Halloween.
